Shopware API anbinden

Shopware 6 Admin API Connector in CatalogExpress

You operate a Shopware-based online store and are currently confronted with the following challenges:

  • Updating your product data in Shopware is time-consuming due to the manual import of product information from PIM/ERP into Shopware, often involving consolidation from multiple sources.
  • As a result, your product data and inventory in the online store are outdated, leading to mispurchases of products that are no longer in stock and a loss of visibility in search engines.
  • Orders and inventory levels must be manually synchronized between the online store and ERP, resulting in additional workload.

Wouldn’t it be great if product data, images, documentation, prices, product status, inventory, and product filters could simply update automatically? All you need for this is a flexible interface solution, such as CatalogExpress.

Connecting the Shopware 6 Admin API:

With the Software as a Service solution CatalogExpress, you can integrate various source systems, such as PIM or ERP, with your Shopware 6 shop. CatalogExpress communicates with the Shopware 6 Admin API for this purpose.

In the CatalogExpress interface, you select your PIM and/or ERP system as source. You can combine data from different sources, such as price data from ERP and product descriptions from PIM. Of course, your well-maintained Excel list or XML file can also serve as an import source.

In the next step, you choose the appropriate template for Shopware 6. These templates vary depending on the data exchange process. You will receive target format templates for the following use cases:

  • Update product data
  • Updating language versions of products
  • Transfer of customer data
  • Transmission of order data

Afterwards, you map your data to the target structure of the Shopware template once. Subsequently, you define through the distribution how often the data should be synchronized (e.g., daily or hourly).

CatalogExpress communicates through the Shopware 6 Admin API. As a result, your data (such as product and order data) is automatically transmitted from your source systems (ERP or PIM) to Shopware, or vice versa.

Once configured, you don’t need to worry about anything. Your online store remains consistently up-to-date.

Overview of Shopware 6 Connector Features

Through the connector in CatalogExpress, there are limitless possibilities for integrating Shopware.

Combination and Integration of Multiple Sources

With the Shopware interface in CatalogExpress, you can connect and combine various sources seamlessly. Whether it’s CSV, XML, JSON EXCEL, ERP, or PIM systems, you have the flexibility to integrate them. Well-known PIM systems such as Akeneo, Contentserv, OMN, Pimcore, and Viamedici are already available as standard interfaces.

Real-Time Data from ERP/PIM Systems Directly into Shopware

Prices, tier prices, product data, inventory levels, customer data, and assets like images, user manuals, or PDF files are automatically transferred to your shop. Full support for product variants, filters, and categories in Shopware 6 is also provided.

Automatic Activation and Deactivation of Products from Source Systems

For instance, through the PIM system, you can set specific products to be active or inactive. These changes are then reflected in the frontend of your Shopware 6 shop.

Shopware Plugin Support

The Shopware Connector allows you to leverage Shopware plugins, such as the ‘customer-specific prices plugin.’ This enables you to manage customer-specific prices through the ERP system. When your customer logs into your shop, they see their individual prices.

Customfield Maintenance

Customfields allow you to extend the data model beyond the Shopware standard. For example, you can add a field for delivery options. With the Shopware 6 Connector in CatalogExpress, it’s possible to populate these Customfields with content, for instance, from the PIM or ERP.

Data Distribution to Various Sales Channels

Do you have a main shop and several related sub-shops? You can connect them using the Shopware 6 Admin API via CatalogExpress.

Bidirectional Integration of Shop and Source Systems

You can exchange data bidirectionally, in both directions. Orders from Shopware, for example, automatically reach the ERP system. Inventory levels are consequently updated automatically and fed back to Shopware. This ensures that all data is consistently up-to-date.
